Is the final of "The Ultimate Fighter" at this UFC?

Here's hoping for a Leben Vs. Sanchez final MW and Forrest Griffin in the LHW final!

No Colum, that's on cable tv (spike) over in the states.. If you don't have broadband, I'll download it and post it off to ya when it happens..

I knew about UFC 52 also. Bravo had UFC 51 & 52 rights..

As far as Forrest goes, his eye was split in the last episode.. It's been rumoured that Bobby Southworth will come back to replace him. Bobbydefinately makes a comeback due to the ring girl scenario. I'm sure you've heard about it.

    John,

Yeah the tv show is on cable and Ive dled most of the episodes.

What I meant is that the final of the MW and of the LHW are on either UFC 52 or 53. Thats what the guys are competing for. Then the fighter who wins the MW and LHW gets a contract.

Heard that about Forrest on the UG alright!

    Colum

No, the final isn't on a UFC show. It's on the Ultimate Fighter finale show. Ken Shamrock is fighting Rich Franklin as the main event but it isn't an actual full UFC show.

Or were you referring to the winner of each catagory? If so, I'm not sure what UFC they would be fighting at but I'd assume UFC 53 as the finale is happenign around the same time as UFC 52.

So you mean its like a UFC 52 1/2? Thanks for the info- didnt know that!

Is the finale being held at a proper event centre though? Not the Mandalay Bay but in front of a proper ticket purchasing crowd?

Yup tickets are on sale for it.. It's a full event for the finale show. It's not only th winners who are fighting - Past fighters who have been eliminated are coming back to fight also and Ken Shamrock v Rich Franklin is the main event.

    Can anyone explain?

In the introduction to the show it shows Bobby Southworth in the background while the ring girl is holding up a "round two sign" for a fight that's happening at that moment. The thing is, there was never fight up until that point that went into the second round. The only fight until Bobby's departure from the show was his fight, but it couldn't of been his fight as he was a spectator.

Which means that Southworth is coming back into the show. Because Forrest Griffin split his eye in the last episode, it's very likely that he won't be able to continue and Southworth will come back and take his place. That's what it is looking like..

    A Chairde,

Would it be possible for you to send me the web links to download the TV shows, and if you have links to other UFC / Pride / K-1 events / fights.

Tell you what, I'll give you Eurosport during the day for the UEFA cup repeats and the World Curling championships. As long as I can take it back that night for the K1.

well it depends on what period your talking about - early pancrase was fixed - basically what japanese call 'strong-style' wrestling

Not all the early Pancrase fights were worked. And I'm referring to each respective fighter of each respective period of time. They've all played their importance. From the Funakis, to the Shamrocks, to the Schilts, Kondos, Almeidas and so on. Pancrase has always been a breeding ground for great MMA competitors.
