For me the best place is Pizza stop. It's a little Italian Restarunt, nice a cosy and it's just up from Brusells, so it's near enough where u wanted.

Food is excelent, service is very good too. and the Price is Very very resonable too.

A restraunt will usually be a good start, but pubs can be a prob (due to loud music... so hard to hear sometimes!!)

Personally (for a pub), I love The Duke on Duke street (on the street connecting Grafton Street to Dawson Street... the one with Marks and Spencers on it).
Its very central, and the music is never very loud. Great for meeting up with mates for a good chat... and it's very popular with couples of all ages.
There's a great mix here, and its a nice pub and it never really gets to busy.
    Have a good one!

eh...don't expect anything awesome about it... I just find it a nice pub to go for a good chat / relaxed atmosphere and good service off Grafton St.
I cant stand the like of Cocoon and the Bailey beside it... too full of themselves.

The Central Hotel bar on exchequer street is also a good one...

You may want to check out The George on Georges St.

Bit of a problem though, this gay bar doesn't have any fire escape. So, it's up to you, but enjoy your death trap if you choose to go!

Personally I love O'Neills on Dame St/Suffolk st beside Ulster Bank. One of most relaxed pubs I've been in

It does have a fire escape, you can see it when you drive past it. It's on the lane to the right of The George.

How about the Market bar? There's no music in there but still a good atmosphere, great food, nice enough crowd. Its just off George's St. Dakota on South William St. is also good, you will usually manage to get seats in there.

    Have a good one :)

    O'Neills on Dame St/Suffolk

That is a good place, I really should visit more often.

OP, if you do go out on Friday night, late club/pub sort of thing, I was unstairs in the Dragon (Old Sosueme's) and although the music was loud enough it was easy to talk to someone up their, I could full conversations no problem.

Like The Duke, this is also on the Dublin Literary Pub Crawl.

So it does have an exit in the case of fire? Ah bollix. I like my tv loud, my beer cold and my homosexuals flaming
