This is probably crap from the guy trying to get a little extra cash, but it's an interesting read nonetheless.

A dude claims he's selling a haunted machine off ebay.

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/03/14/haunted_nintendo/

There's an article and link to the ebay auction.

It's possible it could be haunted, but without any backup from a reliable source, I'd have taken that with a pinch of salt. Also, seems ANYTHING can be sold on ebay, lol

There is something very odd about that SNES... I mean, I looked at the picture of it, and looked at the cat and I suddenly felt a strong tingle up my spine, yet when I closed the tab, the tingle stopped! It's wierd, because my room's window is open and while I get a slight shiver up my from the window, looking at that picture drove me nuts, plus when I think about it now, I go crazy...

That is very very very wierd... I dunno if it's the picture of the cat or what, but frankly, it disturbs me...

Usually, I only get that sort of reaction if I feel there's something evil about a picture, or it freaks the hell out of me, or both... Quite frankly though, I felt very threatened, and the sensation didn't disappear till about a few seconds after I closed the tab.... That honestly shouldn't bother me as I like cats, but I noticed the red in its eyes as well, I wonder what that's about...

    Absolute and utter bull****.

Look at this: "Then my pet bird a cockatiel keeps saying “I see dead people”……………. Well by now I am pooing it! I leave the house and head for the shop, looking for answers, not sure what I will find!"

It is true that some people are idiots. I hope some fool buys its for a few grand. My shoe is haunted...it keeps talking to me when I sleep. Better sell it on ebay.

Usually, I'd be the same way with all these "haunted" consoles myself, but I don't understand why this made me react so badly compared to the last one... I've seen a cat look like that in a picture before, plus I'm sure I've seen horror movies which have freaked me out less, but that just made me feel threatened. I'd almost be half-tempted to go up there and check it out, but I'm not that crazy, heh.

Edit: I looked at the picture and it doesn't affect me as badly now, heh. Was it just a random occurance? I dunno, but it did happen. Anyway, anyone know when the SNES was released in Europe? All I could find was American and Japanese years, both 1991 and 1990 respectively. If that story is to be believed, the "13 years ago" brings us to 1992. I've got an interest in retro gaming, or rather emulation to be more specific, but the way I figure it, they mustn't have had the SNES that long. Either that, or it was imported... I dunno, just for me those dates don't add up...

I dunno if there is any actual substance to that story, mind. While the system may not be possessed or such, the spirits could still possibly be attached to it, or not. There's no real way of knowing unless it's checked out.
