has anyone got any tips they are pretty confident about today?

Justified, Mariah rollins e/w and comanche war paint all let me down, only an e/w on brave inca brought a small silver lining to a poor poor day!

    Any decent tips for today?

At least you got something back!
My day was so bad, I backed 5 losers and layed 1 winner!
Somebody give me a winner today please.

I backed Arcalis in the first (small money e/w) so I was up early on. Lost most of it on War of Attrition and lost even more on Harchibald. Lodged more money into PP and lost on Iris Bleu and Comanche War Paint.

Lodged even more money into PP and backed Dabiroun at 20/1 so ended the day in profit. Thats the way Cheltenham goes - you have to stick it out!! The problem is that you get sucked in and start backing in every race. Not doing that today - I have two bigish bets (profits from yesterday) and I'm just backing Moscow Flyer and Missed That.

I have a small e/w on Roman Ark in the first - if that wins I'll probably do a few more small bets for the craic, so hopefully I won't end up chasing my tail again today.

If you are having bigish bets why are you using PP?
Why don't you use one of the betting exchanges?
Better odds 90% of the time.
Easy to open an account and best of all you can lay a horse (or anything else) instead of just backing your selections.
Betfair has 90% of the exchange market business but charges 5% commission
on your WINNINGS, Betdaq charges 3%.
During Cheltenham they both have very good liquidity and easy to get on.

My tip for the day is to LAY the 3 big runners in the QM Chase.
I've laid MF at 1.3, WC at 1.44 and A at 1.3 (includes stake).
I've shaded the stakes so if any 1 fails to finish in the first 3, I'm in the money.
I don't think all 3 will make the frame (crosses fingers!)

If there's half a million going down then it's clearly a private bookies or in Asia etc... Nice stuff for whoever did have it down, though I was rooting for Well Chief at the end... :D

Azertyioup very nearly fell and Well Chief is really a flat horse who had a good chance of falling, with PPs offering 11/8 for all 3 to make the frame I think laying them wasn't the worst idea I've heard

all in all I was happy with the 6/4 PP gave me. I get too panicy when trying to lay!!! Like to keep it simple ! :p

.................and Missed That came in at 3/1.

as I said keep it simple !!!!!

yeah, its very easy to get carried away and drop a serious wad of cash (on the likes of some donkey like Central House, wuhahaha)

    Aghhhh.
Thought I was quids in when A hit that fence.
Laid Beautiful Vision in the bumper so got something back but still down overall.
Cheltenham is one of the few places where you can get a huge wedge on a horse as there's so many bookies to lay it off with if they need to.

I can't imagine you could've gotton much back on laying a 20-1 shot

was just thinking that myself. to make 50 quid you'd have to have 1,050 in your account - correct me if I'm wrong ?

thats another thing about laying that scares me - I don't like having all that money available to play with at the touch of a button !

Maybe he could have laid it for a place only. That would have been about 5/1.

I didn't fancy the horse at all so what I actually did was
backed it at 33/1 to win the race and then laid it at 20/1 to get back all my possible loss which left me with a posiiton that was either break even or win if he didn't win.
Sometimes that way doesn't work if the odds don't go down but I was guessing there would be some money for it.
