Is this really true?(question about pings and packages)

    is it true that you get better ping on eircom's starter package, then you get on their plus package?

    I remember someone here said it was like that, and I requested an upgrade from eircom to plus package, but if it is so, i will tell them to cancel it.

    Dunno about pings, they usually vary, but the contension would be different (better on the plus package)

    Home plus/business starter

    Unlimited upload cap
    Interleaving Low.

    I have home plus/businees starter and pings are excellent.
    For games on UK and Euro servers i ping anything between 30-60 on all my games.
    Battlefield series and mods,COD and CODUO,CSS, DOD,UT2004 and mods, all my racing games etc.

    Error correcting and noise reduction. It adds latency.

    Home starter can get 26 ping locally, under 40 to jolt in Quake 3.

    no you are a bit confused
    home and home plus = interleaving set to low so good pings
    soho and business = high interleaving

    we don't know what it will be like after the speed upgrade
    i hope interleaving will still be low on home services
