Hi, if this is in the wrong place move please I have posted in the work forum. I am working in an office and there is no water for the last week or so. No toilets no drinking water no handwashing facilities.
Is there a law about this.
    thanks

The Health and Safety Authority (http://www.hsa.ie/) should know your rights in this area.

Have you been given a date for when water service will be resumed?

Contact the Local Authority (e.g. County Council) because they might know about the water part, not the law part.

Where do you go to the toilet?

The boss has said she has contacted the water supplier but no answer when it will be resumed....I think it is a problem with the pipes. We either have to hold it or go in a nearby pub....not ideal

Either way - you're not going to be able to go to the toilet etc until the thing is fixed - which your boss isn't going to do himself.
Don't forget - your boss is in the same situation as yourself.
What are you looking for from the law exactly?
The water service is the blame, not your boss.

    S.

Just wondering thats all. I know there is some law regarding temperature and someone mentioned the other day that it is illegal to work without water supply just was checking.
