I Dont Know if theres a way but if there is can someone let me know.
All the time my Windows media player takes an age to rip one CD. No Joke it could take up to two hours to rip a cd that only plays about an hour long. i recantly upgraded to WMP10 but its the same, its either my computer or something in the WMP setting, does anyone know of anything.
    Cheers.

Have a go of MusicMatch JukeBox (I think its 8 or 9 now), its really fast, less than 10 minutes to rip a CD.

Dont know if WMP has this option (but AFAIK its in MMJB), but make sure that its not playing the CD (on mute) as its ripping. You can probably tell this, if the ripping speed never goes above 1X.

If thats not the case, then try a different program. Winamp rips to CD now too i think.

There's various programs and utilities floating around now, especially on oem machines and laptops that restrict the speed of cd drives to keep them quiet. See if there's anything like that in your system tray (the row of little icos at the bottom right) or in your control panel.
