Monitoring connections to my PC

I use iTunes on my PC to share music and I also transfer files to and from my PC over our network. What I'd like is to be able to see who is connected to my machine at any given time, and also to see the data flow.

Is this possible on XP? Any ideas? This is something I've never thought about before, so bear with me if the question appears to be inane.

Open a cmd prompt and type the following...

    netstat -na 5

This will show you local/foreign ip address connections, refreshed every 5 seconds

netstat -a 5 shows the same but with names

To see the dataflow I find winpcap/windump the best solution.

    Download at http://windump.polito.it/

I've always been a fan of ActivePorts.

Easy to use, nice graphical display.

I second ActivePorts. TCPView is also quite good.

If you're on a LAN or domain and want to see what users are
accessing your stuff, then I'd use Sharemon

    http://wololo.frivol.net/

There is also the 'Computer Management' application in Control
Panel> Administrative tools if you dont have privileges to install
extra software. Click on the 'Shared folders' icon in the left hand
    screen
