    Living Colour again ;)

On the Stain album Doug Wimbish does a lot of them on bass. Great stuff.

Also called tapped harmonics iirc. Tricky wee buggers to get at first.

nice technique tried it out today.. van halen is a maniac ..its tough to build up speed innit... have'ne had a chancec to pick up that living colour album yet doc but its on my to-get list!!! anyone ever used touch harmonics i used them to find the sweet spot over the pick ups while learning pinch harmonics... really really good if use atmospheric effects (i know i know)just as a fill over a bass solo or whatever... really easy too!!!

When I got my 5 string bass going, I spent about three drunken hours playing tapped harmonics on it. Damn my fingers hurt the next day :D
