i am working on my site what do you think of www.damnyanks.com/index4.shtml still a lot missing and spelling mistakes its just the layout i want comments on

I'd make the banner background (and maybe the links too) the same colour as the table headers, give the page an overall theme of some sort. Try to lose the whitespace in those side bars too - it would give more space for the content, especially at lower resolutions.

Other than that it's hard to say without any content in the middle, but it's nice and simple, try to keep that.

yeah, without stuff in the middle it's a bit hard to tell but,

a "best viewed in" would be good. I opened it in 1024x768 and it looked messy (and empty).

In 600x800 (or is that the other way round... ), it looked grand but not much space in the middle for content.

THe banner could do with being centered. In larger screen sizes it looks bad when it hangs off to the left.

there's a lot of empty space at the bottom also no matter what size the area is. Doesn't look good (in my opinion, nothing wrong really, just my personal preference).

Still, looks clean and clear. nice one

Theres not enough there on that index4.html page to actually comment on. Aside from that, I think the actual content of the existing site is complete drivel and a waste of time for those who both read and write the site... but that's just my opinion.

The Americans are one of the most diverse mixes of races, creeds and cultures on the planet and to tar them all with the same brush is not only wrong, - it's ignorant.

I'm being kinder than I need be when I say that the content is drivel and the design is far too incomplete to comment on.

It's only my opinion though, I see...!

Bard's got a point, it is an ignorant premise to base a site on.
I've gotta say I like the Americans. Like he says they're "one of the most diverse mixes of races, creeds and cultures on the planet", and I reckon that makes them as a whole just as nuts as us! In a very different way, but just as good all the same.

This too is only my opinion, but if damnyanks has a different one he's entitled to make a site about it. However, with a bit more publicity I wouldn't be surprised if the site comes under a fair few DOS attacks & hack attempts

my sister is american i lived there from 0-4 ok so i wouldnt really remember it but so what, its not really what your thinking its all in good humour like im sure youve come across site such as stickdeath.com im sure that type of thing could be seen as bad taste but most ppl know its only fun so try and get that around you head before you go saying things but then again it is your opinion do what u want with it i cant change it yet

Bard - I think it's pretty obvious that it's a joke site. I mean loads of people say things like "Damn Yanks!" (and "Damn Paddies" too).
Maybe it leans on an agressive site of things, but it's still a laugh!

Anyway - it's not a bad site, but needs tidying and stuff. Good luck with it.
