    hi folks,

well i have a problem. I'm creating a web site using Frontpage 2000. I can stop people accessing the root web...the homepage. Does anybody know how i can put passwords on particular link within my site. Do i need scripts or what. Can this be done using frontpage permissions ???. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Cheers guyz. Keep it real.

What security you can set on what files or directories on your site depends on the server. What server are you running? Apache? NT?... have you looked up the documentation for your server (or, if your not hosting it yourself, the documentation provided by the host) ?

The site is hosted by someone else. And they basically tell you to use the security mechanism's with frontpage if you are using frontpage otherwise conflicts will occur with their directory permissions on their sever.

Micro - Can you elaborate of htaccess ? ie/..what it is etc

    Cheers Guyz
