How to remove Battery Compartment Door

I was wondering if anyone knew how to remove the battery compartment door on a Nikon D100 without breaking the it. I have purchased a converter that lets me use AA batteries instead of the regular camera batteries. However I haven't been able to figure out how to get the battery compartment door off without breaking it. I really don't want to break a piece off of my camera just to be able to use AA batteries. Anyone have a clue on how to get it off without breaking the door or camera ??

    i wasn't being smart, really ;-)
the canon battery grip for the 300D requires the battery door to be removed and it came with a detailed manual explaining how to

How do you charge the normal batteries? Are they integrated and you just plug a charger in or what?

The normal batteries slip out and are charged on a house based charger. I bought 2 extra batteries to charge so that I would always have a spare. However the 2 extra batteries won't hold a charge so they are basically useless. I bought the adapter for the AA batteries as I like to pack into the mountains and camp out for about a week at a time and an electrical outlet isn't available in the wilderness area ;) . It's convient to be able to throw a couple packs of store bought batteries in with everything else and use those. The adapter slips into the battery comparment and across the base of the camera. However it can not attach with the compartment door hanging down in the way. Hopefully I have my immediate issue solved as I just bought another rechargeable battery with charger that can either be used in the house or in the car. Hopefully it will work as it's suppose to. Since it's mail order I haven't recieved it yet and haven't gotten a chance to play with it. I would still like to be able to use my AA adapter though in case such a need should arise. *sigh*
