Okay, I did a search but no obvious results (Google or here) anyway a simple question on iTunes... can you view the now playing / queued up songs?

I can see what is currently playing but not what is up next...

Is it possible to do an on the fly playlist without using "Party Shuffle"?

    TIA

Not sure, but there's a whole bunch of PERL scripts available - have a look at www.macosxhints.com and search inder iTunes

I dont think there's a way to set up on the fly playlists...

Unless you put all your songs on a playlist and just leave it open??

Edit: Why not use party shuffle? It can show upcoming songs...

Ctrl+L shows you the current song.

Then sort by the far left column - No name for this column, but it has all the numbers in it - to see the upcoming songs
