    Hi all.
Just wondering if anybody knew of a free program that could check my RAM for errors. I've been getting Blue Screen stop errors for a variety of reasons and I wanted to see if my Ram is the problem.
    Thanks.

    Thanks,
I ran a check last night and I got 7 errors by 21%. I assume this means that my Ram is busted. Anyone got any suggestions for relaible Ram. I guess it's my own fault for buying non-brand Ram in the first place.

Well I had some faulty RAM once, it was 256mb, if put in alone, the machine wouldnt even boot, if put with a stick of working 512mb, I'd get about 10 errors by 50%, if thats any indication. Ive always used TwinMos, its reliable and cheap, you dont need to get the expensive low latency stuff unless youre into overclocking really, and even then its only marginally better than the cheap stuff.

    Nice one.
I've seen TwinMos mentioned a lot in peoples sigs. What about Crucial, Infineon or Corsair. Would you have any opinion on these manufacturers or are they all pretty reliable?
