    Nah, I love Idol :D

But I don't particularly like the Jungle celeb thing, etc. Don't really watch Big Bro anymore either, it's gotten so baad

As I always never say, the only thing worse than reality tv is the people who moan about it. There are some reality shows I enjoy (The Ashlee Simpson Show, America's Next Top Model) but most I find a bit dull, I really don't like the ones that try to make you vote because they spend more time plugging the numbers then doing anything of not. For the most part I'm not a big fan of reality shows but I don't bother bitching about them because regardless lots of people watch them. It's a fad of sorts I suppose and I'm sure alot of them will die off but give me Alias, Buffy etc anyday.

My girlfriiend watches American Idol, in fairness they might as well Rename it "American Idol Sponsored By Coke & Ford"
wtf like, product placement in American shows is nuts!

I've been watching that Coach trip sh|te on Channel 4 and in common with every other "reality" show what occurs to me is that this is a "reality" manipulated by the show's producers.

In reality a random group of people thrown together will find some sort of consensus for getting on with each other, sure the tensions will be there but they'll come out unpredictably, not on cue as they seem to on "Reality" TV.

I strongly suspect that everything, all the rows, personality clashes and any "bunking up" that goes on is engineered by the show's producers from day one.

In other words real life is paradoxicaly both too boring and too unpredictable to be good material for "Reality" TV.
