Seriously, who cares? Seems every bloody day there's a post on here about how MSN has gone down the sh*tter again. Is it really that important that you have to chat to your online mates? "Oh no, MSN isn't working, what am I going to do, I don't have anyone to chat to! :eek:" It's not the end of the world, folks, so calm down.

MSN (and anything associated with Microsoft) is flaky, buggy and crashes regularly. It's a fact of life. Learn to accept it........ and stop posting up stuff about it every..... single..... bloody..... time it goes down! :mad:

Okay, fair enough, but does there have to be a post made here almost every single day by somebody when they can't get into MSN? Like I said, MSN throws a wobbly every now and then (a lot lately, it must be said), but why does thread after thread have to be started here all the time when it does? Just learn to live with it. Just try logging in again later, that's all you have to do. There's no point starting a thread asking if it's working for others or not as it's bound to be the case that it'll be working for some and not for others. Don't bother posting here, it's not going to make it work any sooner for you, just try it again later, simple as that.

So why don't one of you chataholics set up an mIRC channel for when MSN goes down? You can make private rooms and invite and have something approaching the functionality of a chat client albeit without the pretty skins and smileys.
mIRC is free and pretty simple to use and it doesn't rely on microsoft run servers...

Its free if you hack it, I got the mirc 6.16 there the last day and it asked me for a serial and wanted $20 r somethin. had to go through the bother of findin a serial.
nothing is free, r it is until it becomes popular and money can be made from it

It's not been that long since I (legally!) d/led a new version after I got new notebook and it was free then. Not used it in a good while.

OK just went looking to quell my curiousity and it now requires registration?? Talk about shutting the barndoor after the horse has bolted...
mIRC used to be free; maybe they decided to cash in on the piracy, porn and godknowswhat else goes on on there. The days of the free intarweb are truly behind us

Just looked on desktop PC and I have an older version that seemingly works fine. And not a registration in sight... :rolleyes:

The registration page will keep popping up if you don't pay. If you don't pay you can still use it indefinitely.

I use MSN to keep in contact with everyone in my area. I moved over in September and havent been arsed about getting a mobile phone yet.

Yeah I've never had any other software crash on me either. Microsoft only hire complete idiots thats why they are the most profitable software company in the world.

You don't have to register. If you don't register you just get a message telling you your trial has expired whenever you turn it on
