    You can access your mailbox using IMAP instead of using pop3 using your preferred email client software.
    Alternatively you can use webmail which also uses IMAP.

    There's more information on the protocol at http://www.imap.org/

    So you can leave you mail on the server etc.

    yes, but its not ideal as it will eat into your disk quota.
