Saving multiple email messages at once

Ok, here's what I want to do: highlight lots of emails file->save as I have tried: Netscape messenger 4 (it's a feature but it keeps crashing) Mozilla 1.7 (one message at a time only) Thunderbird 1.0 (same) Outlook express 6 (same) I want to save out around 30,000 mails....so one at a time is not an option.
