    Guys

I hear NTL have an "aerial" service for NTL in Castlebar. Anyone know much about it or get it installed. I presume it is only available to a mile or 2 radius of the town.
Also I hear it is 10 yoyos for an extra sub, so you definately have to get an extra sub for every room that wishes to view NTL in the house, is there no way around this??

    cheers

Its 19.50 a month for the basic Digital MMDS service (there is no longer analogue MMDS on NTL), with EUR 5 extra a month for a "big basic" package with some extra channels (see www.ntl.ie for details), and yes, EUR 10 a month for a extra box.

You could connect multiple TVs to the same box, but you would only be able to view the same channel on all. As with all digital services, you need an extra box for each diferent channel you want to view.

Basically Chorus have thrown in the towel and sold the Castlebar franchise to NTL who already had the MMDS franchise for Mayo (excpet Castlebar and Ballina)

Now of course all of this goes against COMWRECK policy which states that MMDS is only for rural areas and very small towns where cable isint feasable but what are they going to do about it ?

Well same as they did in Ennis, Nenagh and many other towns franchised for cable i.e. sweet damn all
