Any ideas for a week in the sun at the end of April - Europe pref? Decent weather not too expensive?

Assuming you don't want to go long haul for just a week, the Canaries will probably have the best weather at that time of year .

Have to agree with BC,canaries is always a good call.
Best bet is if your flexible with time is to try to book a last minute deal.
I have tried that a few times and always get a bargain.
Another good spot is Turkey, went there last year Family of 4 ( 2 adult 2 kids) for about €1600 for 2 weeks.

Croatia. Been there for 2 weeks last summer. Food is cheap and fabulous. I went to a place where I had a main course, dessert and 2 drinks for equivalent for e10!

Was thinking of Croatia - anyone been there that early though. If not I guess the canaries is a safe bet.

Well I'm just back from Morroco, went to Agadir, although its quite touristy, you can eat a 3 course meal for as little as €3.50, and good food too... The sun shone the whole week, went from between 19 degrees (by night) to about 30 in the peak of it... There's lots of day trips and things you can do too for a bit of culture, if you want any info PM me!

Done Tunisia before so was looking for something a little different. Anyone know what Marbella would like?

The weather in the canaries was absolutely brutal in February (my folks were there for a week) - the locals said it was worst weather they had there in 60 yrs or so. So probably avoid there, dunno if it's improved now or not.

Canaries should be good and hot at the end of April. I'd imagine 'mainland' Europe would still be in the low twenties.

Looks like Canaries it is so.

Any tips for a quiet area - away from the hustle and bustle - nice hotel, pool, nice beaches a few decent restaurants.
