Just wondering has any experience with these...are they worth investing in  as am on the lookout now for a TFT monitor that doesnt cost the earth!

    They are €249.00 from 17/03

    http://www.aldi.ie/

sorry not able to directly link into the exact page for the monitor, I know there's been tons of threads lately on Komplett deals etc just wondering whether anyone can reccommend this or not!

To be honest you'll get a decent 17" TFT for €250 pretty much anywhere on the web these days. The 10ms and 3yr are good though.

DVI is a completely digital interface, so it usually means better image quality on devices (such as most decent TFT/LCD monitors) that support it.
Most recent graphics cards have either dual DVI and VGA DSUB outputs, or DVI or VGA with an adaptor thrown in to convert from one to the other.

Pure DVI (ie no dsub convertor or whatever) is best.

DVI is also auto configuring for optimal image output on the LCD.

Just back from getting one in Maynooth - there were about 5 left there 20 mins ago!

Pretty happy with it as I'd had to return a sony TFT to Pixmania during the other week that had an unbelievably bad blurring etc (and cost me €51 to return :(). This seems much better - only thing is the speakers on the monitor are a bit tinny.

They have ones there for a tenner that are well worth getting! :)
