ok. I have to register a .com
All I want this to do is act as a url to an already existing site.

Let say for arguments sake, that I wanted a site called www.myquake.com and I already had a site up at www.homepage.eircom.net/~myquake/index.html

How would I go about getting that .com to reroute to that already existing site?

I need to give the domain registry crowd both a primary and a seconday host name/dns info.

If I was u I'd save a lot of headache by getting some real hosting....loads of bargains out there including http://www.webtapestry.net/hosting.html
    at 35 quid a year...

But I'd sniff around if I were u the prices are coming down every day.

Moving the site was not an option PJ, I just used the eircom one as an example. Thanks for the suggestion tho, cause they are pretty decent that crowd. Only 10mb for that price however frown.gif

Ive discovered a crowd that will do it FOR me, and register domains for me all for free. www.mydomain.com
Easy to use domain name management. No need to go finding out dns numbers.
You can have simple url redirecting, or even email forwarding at emailaddy@yoursite.com smile.gif

U can register a name like www.myquake.com , that will forward the viewer to another site like www.eicom/publin/joesoap
at www.namezero.com , plus it's free as far as i know.
