    MATCH RIGGING MAN U.

Valencia striker, Miguel-Angel Angulo, has claimed that his club and Man United agreed to draw last seasons European Champions League match, before a ball was kicked. Quite an allegation, and one, which must be treated seriously. The report was featured in the Spanish press, which is no guarantee of integrity, but nonetheless, must be investigated. Oddly, Mike Lee, Communications Director for sports European Governing body has said there will be no inquiry. No inquiry!? Has Mike Lee been 'got at' as well? The fact that the allegation has been made, it warrants an inquiry. If it is found to be true, Man U must be investigated for every match they have played, and punished with all the severity that can be brought to bear. English football does not want CHEATS!

Go back to 1990 were Ireland played Holland in a nil all draw. I think that is what he meant as opposed to the chairmen meeting up and agreeing to this. The players knew that a draw would suit them so they played for it. You can't blame them for that. You ABU's really annoy me somtimes.

If it suited the teams to draw and they played for it that's grand no problem work away but if the chairmen contact each other about it that isn't fair or legal.

United have become such a massive company (not football club) it's getting that they can't afford to lose just one game!!, incase a investor is at the stadium watching etc. IF you let them get away with one thing they will start to walk all over FIFA because Man U are in business they take no prisoners to win (and I don't mean on the pitch)and will do so at any cost its not a game of football to them its MONEY!!

Imagine how much their shares would drop in price if they were knocked out of the European cup!! they can't have that now can they!!

I'm not saying that this is what is happening now but I'm saying that its where I see football heading in 2 maybe 3 years, the games wont be won on the pitch!!

UEFA don't want to investigate cos they don't believe it. Did you see the match? It was only cos of a great performance by Bosnich that we got a draw at all. Could you imagine Roy Keane not playing for a win?

Now tbh I fired this thread up because it was getting too quiet in here. That website is not the most reliable source of info, plus he has some typically "John Bull" attitutes (just read the piece above the Utd story to see what I mean).

On the other hand if a player from that Valencia team that played last year has made an alligation then it should be investigated to snuff out all the rumours and usual tabloid sh!te that will ensue.

Well that sounds highly suspicious anyway. Maybe UEFA should investigate if Bosnich was drugged or what smile.gif

    1. Too Good you cant watch them play and scream and shoat at them for making a mistake, tis like there expected to win every match
    2. there a company, there not a football team nemore, there no bringing up players they buy cheap ones who are old
    3. They only but cheap players, think about it the amount of money they have, we could spend 15mill a drop in the bucket, we dont why? shareholders dont want that.
    Tis just to much

Not quite sure what u mean by this but every supporter expects their team to win every game they play. I still constantly shout at my team for making the simplest of mistakes. I know utd supportes who do the same.

What do u mean they are not a football. They are probably the ONLY football team in England not just a collection of names ie Chelsea. As for young stars - Brown, Chadwick, Greening, O'Shea - need i go on.

    Stam - 10.5m
    Yorke - 12m
    Cole - 7m
    Barthaz - 7.8m
Keane at the time was the most expensive player in England at 3.5m
In the last few weeks Utd. have started to reneogiate contracts to make there players the best paid in England.

As for the match fixing allegations. Not True. Both managers agreeded in seperate interviews that a draw would be the best result. But Valencia came out fighting and Utd were lucky to get a draw. Like Blitz said only for Bosnich and his 'cat-like' reflexs it would be a different matter. I wouldn't believe it only i saw the match. I can still pitcure one incrediable save and i still don't know how he got down so quick to save it.
