Shutdown problem !?

    ahhh!
    i've had this problem lately and its really aggravating-
    k i go to:start, shutdown.....the shutdown screen takes about 5 mins (not exaggerating) to load...then (if i havnt turned it off with the button by then),
    i click shutdown and it goes to the logon/logoff shutdown screen and takes another 5 mins to turn off?

    :confused:any ideas on how to fix this annoying problem? ? ?

    Possible spyware, run spybot and adware
    You can find them Here(spybot) and Here(Ad-Aware), also some anti virus software can cause your pc to take longer to shut down, i use Nod32 antivirus and it takes about 10-20 seconds longer to shut down

    Iv a similar issue on my XP Home. Start > Shut Down> I verify I want to Shut down and then.... Im waiting for it to shut down.... still waiting... ask i again to shut down (only get half way cause it starts to shut down then).

    Its not a virus or spyware - may be due to me customising windows with winblinds.
