In response to the 'other meal' thread,i thought it was my duty to tell you about a little place opposite the Porter House Pub called 'Ciao Bella Aroma'
Its 8euro for a starter, main course and a glass of wine. I think its all day untill 4 or 4.30.

The pizzas are worth twice what you pay for the meal. Iv been and have kept going back on numerous occasions. Its a quiet italien, actually run by italiens.

    You wont regret it!

Is that a weekday only offer, or can you get it on saturdays too?

Parliment street. The street at the end of Temple Bar (Dublin castle side)

I've been to Ciao Bella Aroma a good few times, good prices and great food. I've never availed of the early-bird menu.
Only downside is that service is not the most attentive and can be a bit slow. The food pretty much makes up for it.

I was in on Tuesday. It's 8.50 until 6pm. The starters are a bit measly and I thought the pasta portions were small, but the pizza really does make up for it. Gorgeous stuff and with a glass of wine thown in too. Has to be the best deal in town.

Hey is that the place on the corner? Didn't it use to have a different name, but also genuinely Italian? Edit: It was called "Da Pino"

When I worked in the area ('98/'99), I used to have lunch there all the time. £4.40 for starter, mains (steak / pizza / pasta) and a softdrink

In that light €8 now is not too bad

Boccacio on Dame Street has some really really tasty pizza. A pizza lunch is €5.70 and you get a soft drink or a (500ml) bottle of water.

Yummmmm... its a 20 minute walk away from where I work but its worth it!
