how to enable a pc to support hds of size > 137gb

    i got an external hd 200gb in size
    it works grand on my xp macxhine since i enabled the pc to support hd's of size 137gb or greater
    how ever i got a windows ME machine which doesnt recognized this external hd yet possibly since its not enable to support such huge dh's
    any ideas of how to enable this feature on a machine running on ME????
