    Dear Sir,
On Friday 4th February 2005 I attended the Young Wesley Disco that your club facilitates for the first time with four of my friends. We had an excellent time and we planned for next week.
As we did not have membership we were given a leaflet advertising “ Valentines Disco At The Wezz, Friday 11th February 2005.” I was told that on showing this leaflet at the door that there would be no problem getting in.
On arrival we noticed a very large member’s queue. We stood in the non-member’s queue wondering if there was any chance of us getting in at all. After approximately half an hour of queuing, my friends and I approached a bouncer asking about our chances of getting in. We were informed that patience and another 45 minutes of waiting would get us in without any problems so we obliged. Eventually, our queue began to move and we approached the bouncer. I produced the leaflet that I had obtained at the disco last week and told him what we were told at that disco. He did not believe us and began to ask us the most pointless questions. He asked to see our hands and he seemed displeased that one of my companions was wearing a ring. He then asked him what school he attended and my friend replied Templeogue College. Once again the bouncer did not believe him and questioned him further asking him what road it’s on. Because we’re all from Blessington my friend could not remember the name, he explained that he was not familiar with the area and was once again believed to be lying. Once again he was questioned, this time regarding priests in the school, he was asked for three. My friend explained that there is only one priest in the school, again he wasn’t believed although he named the priest. The bouncer then asked for his address, my friend lives in a detached house so he does not have a proper address as it is just known as Red Lane, being the rural road he lives on. The bouncer then told us that there was no chance of us getting in even though we had been assured by other bouncers earlier on that we would. We waited in the blistering cold for nearly two hours and were then turned away for one of two reasons in my view. Either the bouncer was having a bad night and was taking it out on us, or he just simply did not like the look of us. We then saw other people who were behind us getting access to the hall including a group of lads from Dunboyne. When we informed him that we had travelled from Blessington and we were meeting our girlfriends inside, he said “ enjoy the long trip home.” He also said that it ws not his problem that we had made arrangements with our parents to be collected after the disco. This showed no regard or respect for our safety.
On top of this the exact same bouncer was bringing people from the very back of both the non- member’s and member’s queue into the hall because he must of known them, this angered me immensly because we were waiting our turn fairly. Also, I was apalled at the amount of members and non- members allowed in who had obviously consumed dangerous amounts of alcohol. I believed there are a number of issues to be resolved with the disco.
I would appreciate an explaination of the irresponsible behaviour of the bouncer as it caused great duress to myself, my friends and our parents. I would also be obliged if you could send out four application forms for membership as to avoid this unethical behaviour in the future.
    Yours sincerely,
    Glenn Fitzpatrick

You've made your complaint. What do you want them to do: reply and say "We have received your complaint, thank you."?

Or do you want an apology? Or a free pass? Or get someone fired?

    Or a hubgardler?

    Membership won't guarantee you access.
