What you can't send via Parcel Force

    I was tracking a package on parcelforce.co.uk and was distracted by pages
    containing items that are either prohibited or restricted when sending via
    Parcel Force.

    Thought I'd share some of the list by country with you, some strange
    ones :D

    Algeria - new or used clocks and watches unless they are packed in boxes

    Andorra - foreign lottery tickets; playing cards; postcards decorated with
    embroidery or 'glitter glass', unless enclosed in sealed envelopes

    Argentina - worn clothing unless accompanied by a certificate of disinfection

    Afghanistan - chewing gum; fancy postcards; handbags; macaroni

    Bahrain - binoculars

    Bangladesh - cellophane paper; duplicating ink; electric bulbs; electrical
    ceiling fans; torch lights

    Benin - gramophone records

    Bolivia - knuckledusters of any metal; used garments and other personal
    belongings unless accompanied by a disinfection certificate issued by a
    competent authority and countersigned by a Bolivian consular official

    Bosnia-Herzegovina - spoons, forks; whistles

    Bulgaria (Republic) - used clothing of any kind including footwear; linen,
    blankets and bed linen

    Cameroon - second-hand clothing (apart from gifts to Leper Hospitals, in
    which case permission should be obtained from the Minister of Finance,
    United Republic of Cameroon)

    Cayman Islands - shaving brushes

    China (People's Republic) - radio transmitters and receivers; used clothing
    or bedding; wrist watches and cameras; funeral urns containing ashes

    Christmas Island - blank or partially completed invoices; brushes;
    second-hand carpets; cinema films

    Cuba - Guantanamo Bay - advertisements relating to lotteries

    Ecuador - feeding bottles; straw hats; cigarette paper; footwear of
    leather fabric or rubber; preparations for erasing ink or other writings

    Egypt - printed matter relating to football and jockey pools

    Estonia - uncancelled postage stamps

    Finland - almanacs and calendars in the Finnish and Swedish languages;
    samples of alcoholic beverages unless addressed to 'Alko OY'

    Greece - almanacs; tins of condensed milk; worn clothing

    Greenland - powdered milk products; Duty must be paid on goods for which
    the Royal Greenland Trade Department holds a monopoly: cider; beer; wine;
    spirits, malt, hops; tobacco, cigarette paper; chocolates and sweets;
    glucose

    Guyana - artificial Christmas trees or flowers; biscuits, bread or cakes;
    cereals; curry powder, mixed spices; watches, clocks; bed, kitchen, table
    linen of all materials

    Hong Kong - football pools coupons and items relating to lotteries; stamps or
    objects bearing fictitious stamps or reproductions

    Iceland - rags; used sacks

    India - Mexican jumping beans; shaving brushes made in Japan; fountain
    pens; lead and propelling pencils; spectacles and sunglasses; watches;
    picture books, calendars

    Iran - games; musical instruments; sugar; toilet articles; wooden artefacts;
    radio systems equipped as follows: single sideband; upper sideband; lower
    sideband; beat frequency oscillator; continuous wave; air band; police band
    or an FM band with a frequency range of 76 to 87 MHz

    Iraq - binoculars; films of any kind; coloured pictorial postcards; recording
    tape cassettes; rubber balloons

    Ireland (Republic) - footwear; light bulbs; rubber tubes for tyres; films

    Jamaica - condensed milk; cordage and twine; figurines; shaving brushes

    Jersey - hares and rabbits, unless skinned, and/or hare or rabbit skins

    Kenya - publications dealing with marriage or birth control

    Kiribati - banknote or coin in current use in any country

    Korea (S) (Republic) - articles and machines used for the manufacture of
    tobacco

    Kuwait - binoculars; political publications; rubber balloons

    Lebanon - articles and machines used for the manufacture of cigarettes and
    tobacco, cigarette papers; contraceptives and publications relating thereto;
    inedible material made to look like sweets

    Libya - tobacco in any form except when addressed to the Tobacco
    Monopoly

    Macedonia (The former Yugoslav Rep. of) - spoons, forks; whistles; foreign
    military uniforms

    Mexico - calendars, prints, loose leaf catalogues; pictorial postcards;
    confectionery/preserves containing chocolate

    Morocco - lottery advertisements (except those connected with Moroccan
    government lotteries); spurious substances designed to adulterate food and
    drink

    Namibia - printed matter relating to football pools; packets of more than six
    pictorial postcards

    Nauru - blank invoice forms

    Nepal - watches and spare parts; wireless transmitters

    Nigeria - articles sent for fraudulent purposes; fortune telling advertisements;
    betting circulars; advertisements concerning illegal business; foreign football
    pools coupons; photographic printing paper; charms or similar objects; used
    tea leaves; meat or vegetables declared unfit for human consumption;
    hunting lamps; Japanese brush-ware (except nylon tooth brushes)

    Norfolk Island - blank or partially completed invoices; fruit cartons (new,
    used, or even for packaging); used jute bags; thermometers

    Norway - bristles; used bags

    Pakistan - antiques

    Papua New Guinea - blank invoice forms; blasphemous works or articles;
    preparations purporting to be a remedy for alcoholic or drug habits (tobacco
    accepted)

    Peru - publications, toys or games for children which might harm the cultural
    or historical heritage of Peru

    Philippines - advertisements, circulars relating to lotteries; games of chance;
    pipes and parts thereof for smoking opium

    Poland - labels, empty receptacles having the names of non-Polish firms sent
    without goods

    Qatar - articles giving off a fetid odour; remote controlled toy aircraft for
    children; military or similar clothing; garments bearing the name of the divinity
    or verses from the Koran; instruments for weighing and measuring; radiophone
    transmitters/receivers; portable long distance telephones

    Reunion - chain letters

    Romania - radio sets; air condition apparatus; second-hand effects, clothing,
    bed linen and shoes

    Saudi Arabia - products designed for extinguishing fires; binoculars

    Singapore - chewing gum; ivory articles; toy currency; advertisements for
    charms and talismans

    Slovakia - chain letters

    Slovenia - spoons, forks; whistles; foreign military uniforms

    Spain - postcards decorated with 'glitter glass'; playing cards

    Sri Lanka - ashtrays; bicycle parts; carbon paper; chalk; electric lamps for
    household use; torches; envelopes; exercise books; keyrings; pencils, pens,
    pen-holders; picnic baskets; flasks; pins; registers; rubbers; sarees; scales;
    sunglasses; waste paper; watchstraps; wire clips; account books; albums;
    antiques; calendars; cameras and other photographic apparatus; greeting

    Whats the dealio with Just ireland having that restriction listed? why not the other countries (which do (spain) and dont (many others) appear)?
