Flights to s/e asia

going to do the ould summer hols in southeast asia this year; thailand, the nam, laos, cambodia etc for about a month starting c. july 15th.

my question is regarding flights (which i want to book soon). where are the best deals to be had? who is best to fly with? which is the best city in the region to fly into (also which is the best city to begin a holiday like this?)

also, if there is any additional wisdom anyone has to share about holidaying in this part of the world, i'd love to hear it.

bangkok, its the hub of the whole area really

if your goin for a month it would be a very rushed job to visit all 4 countries..
if i was you i would make sure to do:

thailand:
Full moon party
Diving course

laos
hill trek(the ones in thailand are not half as good)
luang phrabang waterfalls

cambodia
angkor

and search for posts about thailand if you want more info!

yeah i guess bankgok is the way to go, and a month was only a ball park figure tbh...

the main reason for my post however was enquiring about flights....where are the best deals to be had? who is best to fly with?

book soon and you should get them for around 700 i think, we went with BA, booked late(ish) and got them for 800

I'd think you'll get the best deal through Trailfinders, i booked thailand flights with them before, ring (01) 677 7888 for a quote
