Nöise Machine

Nöise Machine are made up of Tweak Baxter (guitar, vocals, farce-horn), Eddie Comeback (guitar, vocals, balloons), Billy Ray Dragon (hitting, recorder) and Panister Fatheroy (guitar, masks). They are pioneering a new art form of music sound christened Farce Core, which incorporates elements of chance, wrongness, speed and terror-fying polyrhythms. Their influences include: explosions, infomercials, and the slamming of doors.

I know you all will probably have never heard of them, but they are extremely talented and painfully original (painful for the unoriginal). They are playing a gig alongside Igo Hojo and The Gaskets in the Templebar Music Centre tommorow night and anyone with a passing interest in music will almost certainly find something to like.

And if you are still not sold, just come for their rendition of the world famous 'Riverdance'. It's bitching. And only €5.

I`ve seen them before also, not up to much in my opinion. That first post? Way too pretentious. No polyrhythms to be found and they do covers of the eatsenders song to be original. Their also not sound, went on the mainline website to abuse the hell out of them for kicks, some of it was way too harsh.

yeah i saw these guys support reverb in the buttery, trinity the other night.

They are origional. I'd like to hear them let their creativity flow in their own way rather than waste it on novelty cover versions like riverdance and what i'd say only a minority of the crowd recognised as 99 red balloons!!

I have to say we were very entertained though! I mean, the music for me is too harsh ans messy to be listenable but we were in STITCHES! and laughing WITH them I might add! The guitarist was wearing a dress and went berserk in the last song, whacked his guitar on the ground and danced around it Napoleon Dynamite style, then picks up the front man and slam dunks him onto the drum kit! Exactly like that Nirvana video! Brilliant!

Argh, I wish I had been there, I heard it was a funny one! But wasn't it a Trinity Battle of the Bands sort of thing? They didn't make it through, but the way they tell it, they didn't want to. I can't wait for their album, it'll be out fairly soon. And _Raptor_, I'd take a gander at that clip if you'd show it. Anyways, go to their website at noisemachine.cjb.net
