I'm not quite sure this is the appropriate place to post this, but it seemed to be as close to the right forum for... whatever this is.

I came across a Wikipedia entry for a game called Project Syzygy. This isn't strictly role-playing, although there seem to be some NPCs roaming around somewhere. It describes itself as an alternate reality game involving extensive use of the web and cryptography.

The game seems to revolve around the search for an object called The XXXX Cube (The middle word has been blanked out on all documents). The clues to finding this object are hidden around us in the real world - advertisements in newspapers, magazines, websites, etc.

    Some relevant sites:
    http://www.tranzed.net/project_syzygy/index.htm
    http://www.projectsyzygy.com/
    http://www.perplexcity.com/

Anyway, I was just curious to know if anyone else had heard about it, or if anybody felt like setting up a little boards collective to try to decipher it?
