Funnily enough the dates were on the Paul Rodgers site yesterday but then disappeared. The dates were confirmed by Dave Fanning on 2FM last night and are also now listed on lots of the Queen unofficial sites including www.queenconcerts.com. The Official International Queen Fan Club will be making an announcement this week and have specifically mentioned Ireland.

Am also quite surprised this hasn't sold out rapidly,
especially given that tickets to UK gigs were all
gone with a matter of minutes.

Are there still tickets left today? (There'd better be or my Mum WILL kill me)

I've just checked ticketmaster and tickets are STILL on sale. its dear enough. €65 for standing and €75 for sitting. Do you think it will sell out?? i hope it does. Its only the Point, and i would be surprised if the 8,000 tickets arent sold out soon.

    Just got 2 tickets!!!!!

Now how to engineer to escape children for the weekend and choose who to bring with me.

who cares - I am, at long last, going to see Queen. Another lifelong ambition will be fulfilled.

It seems that all balcony seats are pretty well sold out but there are still standing and tiered seating tickets left. Not sure how many in each category are left though but I'd be surprised if all tickets are not sold before the show. All UK tickets sold out very quickly and most of the European tour is also sold out. As a result, a number of outdoor gigs this summer have been planned in Holland, Germany, Norway and Hyde Park, London. 70,000 (!) tickets for the show in Hyde Park had been sold up to last week.

Of course it won't be the same without Freddie (and John Deacon) but Paul Rodgers is a fantastic vocalist and is one of the few people who could come close to Freddie.

There are still tickets available for Queen+PR at The Point.
I've never been there - can anyone tell me what it's like? I'm getting on a bit (Queen fan since the 70s  ), so don't fancy battling it out in the standing area.

How far back is the tiered seating - can you see all right from there?

As a venue The Point is not bad. For rock shows there is typically seating in the balcony area which provides a good view. Tiered seating is generally at the back of the ground floor behind the standing area and sometimes around the sides. I've never been in that seating so I can't say what it's like. You could ring The Point to check seating arrangements for the Q+PR show.

While the Balcony area seems to be largely sold out there appears to be some single seats left. If you are going on your own or don't mind sitting apart from your companions then you could get the last of those tickets.

As regards standing, it usually only gets a bit hectic right at the front. If you don't mind standing for a couple of hours then anywhere in the middle of the standing area or even towards the back will usually provide a good view of the show.

    Thanks for the info!
So would you say tha balcony provides a better viewing than the tiered seating at the back (That seems to be what they're putting on)? The tiered seats seem to be as far back, according to the venue plans.

I don't mind standing as such, but I'm not very tall, so that's a big disadvantage :(

Maybe the side balcony would give a bit of a closer view - although I had a similar seat when I saw Brian May (over ten years ago - eek! ) at the NEC in Birmingham, and ended up with a stiff neck! ;)

Its been 15 yrs,but I'm finally gonna see Brian May live in the flesh!!!The set lists seems to be pretty uneventful, they play most of the big hits but theres a few gems in there for those proper fans in the know ('39, TYMD etc.) The suspense......
Also,Babyshamles and Ian Brown at the Trinity Ball the day before-my dream 24 hours has come true-who cares about my finals!!

The tiered seating at the back is miles away.
    Best seats are the Balcony.
Most of the people who saw Queen Live before will be 40+ so the prospect of standing doesn't appeal that much anymore!

A quick check on Ticketmaster indicates that it seems that the tiered seats are almost sold out as well. There seems to be some single seats left there however.

Should be a good show. The reviews of the shows so far have, generally, been very good - see www.queenconcerts.com etc...
