Sim Racing Lan?

Does anyone know of any Lans in ireland, with a significant amount of simracing?

I play a lot of f1 challenge (rh04 mod) gpl, nascar 2003, and richard burns rally.

I`d like to meetup for some proper racing if we could get 5-6, in our narrowband state!

I had the pleasure of a racing lan in Boston of last year.
GPL,Nascar 2003 and mods were on show.
Was bloody amazing watching 1,000 PCs all running racing sims.
When they were having the tournaments they unplugged their headphones and the full field had their speakers turned on,really added to it for the spectators.
I did manage to get a spin myself from a 57 year old gentlemans PC.
Took me a while to get used to his setup but was posting my normal times in GPL pretty soon
Ive been and taken part in to fps and rts lans but would love to be involved in a racing lan.
A few weeks back when i first got my broadband my brother brought over his pc to my place and we connected them up for some online GPL and GTR.
We also inevitively played some battlefield vietnam,1942,Call of duty etc

OOh Broadband! my region isint even on the rollout plan which runs to 2k7. needless to say i shall be out of here before long.

Need to get GTP re-release downloaded on 56k :-(

I was part of the beta team last year, unfortunately was in the middle of a masters thesis, and then moved to narrowband region, so had to pull out.

Were the lans u attended in a proper hall...or someones house?
Edit: Lans in Ireland....assuming the 1000pc lan was not in a house!

Hi m8,the 1,000 pcs was in a hotel in Boston.
The smaller lans were here in Ireland.

Ive been to LANs where weve played a bit of eracer, need for speed or more recentlly flat out witch is a great laugh. But ive never really seen any one play sims.

I know there was a lan in Queens uni student union, dont know if its still going. I was last there in 2k2, and was one of 3 to bring a wheel. Unfortunately, one of the guys was absolutely terrible, and anothers wheel got broken.

If there is a big general lan organised, does anyone think we could get a corner for racing?

I could download it for you n burn it, it wouldn't be a problem, I'm in Monaghan so you could either pick it up or i can post it over. If you'd a list of stuff I could burn it all to a DVD, might take a while for me to get around to downloading it all tho, ask dcully, i'm a bit slow at the old download/burn/post routine

Well its not exactly sim racing by I know at the next midlans lan this month flat out will be played with a largish crowd (for Ireland).

If you think racing sims lan are tough to find you should try to find combat flight sim

Thanks for the offer, but i have a DVD winging its way to me as i write this :-)

A good friend from Bangor burned it with a load of stuff hes been collecting for me, including the 1998 hungarian gp, the race of champions, and most of last years dtm :-)
