It has to be 98FM. They have a small and safe palylist. Their target audience are 30 - 50 year old office workers and housewives. Very lame radio station.

I agree entirely - they're pathetic. I once worked somewhere, where the radio was constantly tuned into 98FM and over a four hour period, you'd hear the same songs at least three times.

Get out of that, its SPIN and all that trash, you asked for it indeed, we've been asking for it for years.

I have never listened to SPIN. I would rather tear my ear-drum out with a rusty spoon and eat it.

But at least SPIN play more music, 98fm is just a commercial zone

Jaysus, remember the sweet tones of Gay Byrne every morning, music to the ears.

Yes indeedy, the good old days.

    Sunshine, Pulse.

And some station that used to broadcast BBCRadio1 for half the day, up til about 4ish? I used to love that. Listening to Zoe Ball, then Sara Cox in the mornings, with Chris Moyles when they were off sick. Then Jo Whiley, then Marc and Lard in the afternoons. That was a proper radio station.

I remember the day Pulse went off the air to apply for a licence.

"it's not over, not over, not over yet" - and still no sign of them coming back

And then we had Phantom. Nice to see a decent proper radion station getting some recognition, can't wait for them to come back on the air this summer.

As for the worst, I'll break the mold and say FM104. I hate the Strawberry Alarm Clock with a passion. That JimJim bastard especially, he just isn't funny.

serously though, phantom is truely truely ****.. and i'm a fan of the genre of music they play, but the actual tracks they play are crap..

phantom never reached its potential in my opinion,it was the radio equivalent to a saturday night in whelans, good fun but music was very predicatable, but if you thought it was bad then just wait until paul mcguinness & his gang of corporate geezers get their filthy paws on it.
I used to love that station that played the bbc in the mornings even a veritable knob like simon mayo was a breath of fresh air compared to g ryan & pat the plank .

oh yeah 98fm definitely dublins worst.
it sucks, its a pale imitation of fm104 (which is really saying a lot)

anything that plays HARVY NORMAN adds, which is generally 104, 98 and Today FM. ARGH I dont listen to them stations because of it. That add drills into my skull everything I hear it, worse than that crasy frog on MTV!

Gerry Ryan and 2Fm seem to be the best for me
