Being "unbaptised"?

I remember somebody posting on boards a while ago about being unbaptised. Is this possible?

I presume they have some kind of list of all the baptised Catholics in Ireland? Can you have your name removed from it?

Or is being unbaptised more hassle than it's worth? I'm guessing there would be some issues later on if I want to get married in a church?

Baptismal certificates are only stored in the parish of baptism, AFAIK.

Surely the way to reject baptism is to deny its significance, rather than using a counter-ceremony?

Unless you've got a time machine. In which case, could you go back to the eighties and have Devo killed before their first release?

Why would you want to get married in a church if you feel so strongly enough against Catholicism to ask about being un-baptised?
