    Germs schmerms,
did you know that people only started getting asthma and allergies after tape worm medicine was widely available, and these "conditions don't exist in the third world where they do have tapeworms,
so sometimes it's better not to be getting overly dramatic about germs, yet perhaps asthma is better then ****ting dead worms out your ass, your call!

    Not true!

But they have discovered that if you have asthma or hay fever by popping a pet tapeworm it can cure you allergies. The problem they think is that with all the medicines and vitamin pills available today they are giving or immune system not much to do so it starts to create work for it self by attacking pollen and dust.

But when you have a tapeworm in your stomach suddenly your immune system has plenty to do and stops attacking pollen and dust and starts to try to fight this worm in a never ending battle of Good Vs Evil in your stomach :D

Then again, they say that tapeworms can CAUSE allergies too, by leading to a chronic activated immune system...
But I did read a study whereby people suffering from Crohn's disease were infected with pinworms (the harmless itchy arse worms that almost everyone gets at some stage), and it apparently reduced their symptoms due to enzymes that the worms secrete..

/me takes it all with a rather large dose of non-iodized salt

The theory on parasites V Atopy (which includes allergies and asthma) is because when someone is allergic to something, they have a high level of IgE (an antibody which is normally very low) and it is this and the eosinophils (the type of immune cell that secretes them) are also high.

These are also very important to control large parasites that other immune cells cannot absorb and digest and regulate the fight against them.

Theory goes that if you have no parasites for your IgE to go after, if you are sensitive to this they go after your own body........

It makes sense - in Africa where parasite infection is nearly endemic, there are very few cases of asthma. However, the cure to asthma is NOT to fill your belly with worms!!!!!
