the sound on Channel 4 on NTL analogue (Dublin) is currently way louder than the other channels and quite distorted. I've noticed this in the past on other channels on the service (Sky had the same problem for a while)

Is this just carelessness on the part of NTL - anyone else noticed this?
is there any point contacting them about it?

I tried complaining about the mismatch between the sound levels on analogue and digital and was treated to a very slow and painful explanation about how to turn the volume up using the remote :) So, probably no!

I have that problem as well and I always thought it was my TV, but I can set the sound level to be stored for each TV channel. This sorted out my problem.
