On my most recent Ryanair invoice it has an entry:-
    *********6.56 EUR Ins/Wheelchair Levy
Any ideas what that is about?

    Merrion,
You may remember the case last year of the passenger that needed a wheelchair, Ryanair charged him 25 pounds(I think this was at Stansted). He took Ryanair to court and was found to be discriminated and offered 2000 quid compensation. The charge followed this decision
Ryanair argued that this fee was what was charged by BAA and not by them.
I'm not sure if the fee simply covers any hire costs to Ryanair from the airport authorities or if Ryanair actually bought some wheelchairs for their passenger uses.
