Maybe try a different emulator. In rare cases some roms do not work correctly with the different emulators. I had this problem with Goldeneye and project 64 (warped up colours)

All else fails, it might just be a bad dump!

JDoom is capable of running Doom 64 perfectly since its basically a wad modification of the doom engine. Also you can use Mouse look and play co-op and deathmatch on it. It also has enchanced graphical effects. Far better than using an emulator.

And the Doom remake. Its Doom with Quake graphics. Got it awhile ago, good fun, but you need a doom2 wad to play (it also works with heretic, hexen etc, so it brings all these games to quake or above standard, its pretty cool)

Give it a try - I'm not sure what its actually called, I know it only as "Doom Remake"

Its JDoom. Exactly what I was talking about.

No, they are not the same. The doom remake has different weapon models. And it weighs in at over 500MB download.

I think it is the same. 'Doom Remake' is essentially an all-in-one pack with JDoom, new textures, models and effects. All of which are separately available but have been repackaged and re-branded by a third party - without the permission of and without giving credit to the original developers.

Later versions of 'Remake' apparently come with the necessary Doom 1/2 WAD files and are essentially warez.

'Did a google' and found the above info here.

along the lines of N64 Emulators,

ive got both 1964 and Project64, but can't figure out how to play two player.

ive put 1Player controls as a PS2 controller attached through USB,
and 2Player controller as keyboard buttons.

It allows me to select either None or USB Gamepad, but not Keyboard might this have anything to do with it?

    Any suggestions?

If set to 'none' does it not use the keyboard?

Don't have this program, just a suggestion.

yeh tried it, but doesnt seem to have any effect?

just curious, wat emulator do you use? ive read 1964 and Project64 are among the best.

Project64's video plugin is definitely top of the line anyway!!

    All is GOOD!!

    Sorted it out.

Simple mistake, i had changed the control settings in the middle of the game, and so they were not recognised.

all i had to do was reset the rom and the changes took effect!!

(stoopid, stoopid, stoopid, stoopid, stoopid, :o )

cheers for the replys, hope this helps anyone with the same problem with

    " Activating 2Player N64 Emulator "

    (For search Function  )

'Doom Remake' is what JDoom with the necessary .wad files is masquerading as in the warez networks.

Not J-Doom. It really is called "doom remake". I'm not stupid enough to mistake this or a repackaged Jdoom with wads.

If it was a blatant rip off of J-doom it would not be hosted by Offical gaming sites now then would it. :)

Here are some screens for you.

    Actually, it is JDoom.
indrema spent many moons putting together a lot of resources, created by various authors, to finally come up with a Doom Remake package for JDoom which indrema anounced on our forums right here. The download includes the Doomsday engine and many hi res textures, mdl improvements and a lot of stuff adding a whopping 540mb's of Doom gaming goodness. Doom Remake can be downloaded from the link provided in the forums or from a link via Metal Sonic's JDoom Quick Links site. Plus there's a Renewal Skin expansion for Doom Remake that includes every Hi-res Skin Aviable by: Dani J666, Deathmonkey7, TigeriusX and Cheb. Have fun downloading all that stuff!

The official versions probably don't have the Doom wads.
