Coming up to 20 mins gone, still 0-0, Blackburn have had the best of the play but Dickov has gone off with what looks to be a nasty knee injury with plenty of swelling on it (replaced by Stead).

This game means a lot more than I actually initially thought when I saw todays fixtures. Blackburn are being sucked in to the relegation battle, and need to pick up points. Everton, on the other hand, are looking to pull away from Liverpool and if they win the 11 point gap will be almost certainly insurmountable.

    hoho

Everton's gap is getting smaller, and if Liverpool win its down to 5
This derby will be a great one to watch :)

Blackburn with 3 points are now 7 points clear, they are looking safe, good work Hughes, hopefully next season he can take them into the top half.

    Get in there Blackburn!!!

an everton win and it would of made it very tough for us to catch them. Reid had a excellent game, got an assist for the goal.

typical everton, this was a great chance, if we'd won here the derby wouldn't have mattered. ah well.

I was over for the game as well, what a cat match.

I don't envy any team playing blackburn though, they fought for everything for 90 minutes.

Fair play to Sparky Hughes, for the way he's turned things around all the same.

Not long after he took over Rovers were 20th in the table. Now they are one of the form teams in the premiership, picking up points home and away on a regular basis!

I could see them climing to about 11th or so by the end of the year!
