Problem with Office & Equation Editor

hey, have a small problem with office equation editor (have xp pro with sp1 and office 2003 pro with sp1 and had same problem with office 200 pro)...every time i enter the eual to sign (=) equation editor shows a T with a fada on it...same sort of problem with other equations.....any suggestions have already tried the…

have already tried the fonts..and such things
