It has to be the worst thing that advertisers can do. Its shocking. The last ad i seen was terrible for dubbing. It looked cack. It didnt even work as i cant remnber what the ad was for, so they wasted a pile of money.

So lets name and shame the ads that are dubbed.

Thinking of starting a website on all the ads on irish tv. I wonder could i get videos of ads without any bother on copyright.

I would like to have say the top 5 best/worst ads on tv etc.

Dubbling isn't always bad - the Lyon's Tea one with the Cork accent is much better than the same ad with English accents for PG Tipps though I must say I felt a bit betrayed on finding out the Irish one wasn't the original.

There's some really annoying dubbed one for Head & Shoulders - some guy going on about how his gf borrows all his stuff apart from his dandruff shampoo. Urgh!

seen a class german ad for BMW. It was dubbed but who cares! This car was driving reaally smoothly through the countryside. It was green, lots of trees, nice smooth driving, then waaaaaa! this guy jumps up to the screen and starts yelling at you. Not sure what he says though!

Thats the ad that really pissed me off enough to start this thread.

Dubbing is horrible and andi it bugs me to hell as well as lip sync errors that sometimes occur on tv. I cant watch anything that the lip sync is out on.

That ad for the small Nivea deodrant thing. It's the guy's place and he asks the girl "how long will you be staying for" and she replies "maybe two / three months", and it's so not her saying it, the voice doesn't match her mouth movements, oh my god, I hate Nivea ads!!!

Vile stuff altogether, it doesn't deserve to be called chocolate. What is it with the white bit?

i LOVE the lyons tea ad. The UK voices just aren't the same. I remember a few years ago just after Michelle Smith won her olympic medals she did a Panten ad or something and it was dubbed over for the UK. Was hilarious. The really obviously european ads that are dubbed are the worst. It just looks so lazy.

I find the crappy editing on the product packages worse than the dubbing. In some ads you can see the box and the image on the box moving at different speeds.

The Danone ads with the cartoon dinosaur. And theres one where I rekcon where I reckon the yoghurt drink is superimposed into the kids hand...If you look at the swimming pools in the latest Argos catalogue the peeps are pasted in - have a look and see!! :D
