this is driving me nuts, but is probably a simple question for a lot of people...

i'm uploading pictures from my camera and am trying to decide on the correct size; I want them to be small enough that i can upload them quickly but my family might want to access them and order prints, so they have to be good quality.... in terms of their actual physical size i was thinking I couldn't go wrong with 15 cm by 10 cm and in terms of DPI i was going for about 200.

    How do those measurements sound?

are there general rules you can follow?

    Thanks!

ideally you should use 300dpi with 6x4 (10x15cm) but most people can't notice the difference when you print them as low as 150dpi

but work in pixels as it's much easier in my experience
1800 x 1200 will give perfect photo quality at 6x4 inch prints
