You really need to provide more details. 1699 sounds reasonable for a 15" PB with a DVDR and Airport but without knowing these specifics it's difficult to comment.

    Find out :

    Screen Size: 12", 15" or 17"
DVD/CD-ROM: CDRW/DVD Combo or DVDRW Superdrive
    Wireless: Airport Extreme and/or Bluetooth
    OS/Software Bundle: OS X 10.3.x - iLife 04/05 etc.

These will all have a bearing on the price someone would be willing to pay. That said are there any more ?? :D

Zener, if you know anything about mac's, you'll know all the current and previous powerbooks for i dont know how long come with airpot + bluetooth, i really cant be any clearer. I have said its 256mb Ram, a COMBO drive , a FIFTEEN inch screen! anyway its sounds decent, just wonderin what you peeps thought.

The previous generation Powerbooks came with Airport and Bluetooth as standard.
The way I see it is that Powerbook is comparable power wise to the 12" combo at the moment which retails with more RAM(and possibly more CPU power, cant remember if combo 15"was 1.33Ghz or 1.5Ghz) for €1,549.01, so no its not worth it personally I wouldnt think about it till around €1300, you can get a brand new 12" with more power for new and cheaper so why buy a second hand just for a big screen.

the 12"superdrive is almost that price and that well out powers(RAM and HD(and again possibly CPU))the 15".

yeh i know what u mean, im still deciding on this or an iMac , but the screen needs to be atleast 15", btw its brand new boxed from a shop, they r selling the older models.

Why do you need the screen at least 15"?Heavy Final Cut Pro user?or just mildly blind?

You could always buy a larger monitor for your main use and then have the 12" Powerbook to go portable with.

Go the iMac route then(once its the G5iMac), you always get more 'bang for you buck' on desktops, and it is reasonably moveable from place to place aswell, all you need is a power socket, mouse and keyboard.
