As has been commented elsewhere on this board, it appears that Andy is going to be forced into making decent decisions due to injuries.

Number eight Martin Corry has been named England captain for their next RBS Six Nations match against Italy.

The Leicester back-rower takes over from Jason Robinson, who will miss the final two games with a thumb injury.

Corry has been in outstanding form in England's last two matches against France and Ireland after returning from six weeks out with a dislocated elbow.

"Martin has really impressed me for both England and Leicester this season," said coach Andy Robinson.

"He has had some outstanding games. Together with other forwards such as Ben Kay, he has supported Jason Robinson by offering great leadership from the back row.

"I know he will step up to this challenge for this important game against Italy."

Corry will lead England for the first time in a match they desperately need to win to end a run of four successive defeats.

He should have been captain a long time ago. Bet it will be a different game.

Agreed. I thought it was Italys best ever chance to beat England, but I think it could be a walkover if England click.

England were six down against Ireland with 5 minutes to go and got a penalty in front of the posts. Thankfully for us Robinson went for the lineout. :D Cory might have gone for the three points.
