Apple Service Centres

I've been asked (by AppleCare Engineers) to take my iMac G5 to an Apple Service Centre to have it "looked at" [for info. I'm experiencing the noisy fan problem that you may have seen mentioned on other Apple related forums]. I've been given the option of taking it to one of the following companies:
    • Image Supply Systems, Dublin 8
    • Mactivate, Dublin 15
    • Typetech, Dublin 12

I'm just looking for opinions on which of these companies provides the best service (i.e. friendly, reliable, fast).

    Many thanks!

Well. Mactivate never return any of my calls any time I've rang them.

Typetech have been at it for a long time. I've only ever really used them for getting quotes (They're always pretty expensive) but they seem pretty friendly.

Well, I had a busted TiBook hinge, which needed fixing...

[*] ISS took a look at it and declared replacing it outside their competency
[*] Mactivate took it and returned it to me with _more_ damage done to the hinge and screen (they *are* dreadful for returning calls, btw)
[*] TheMacShop fixed it fine, once I accepted that it wasn't going to look 'as new' once it was re-glued.

Didn't know that Typetec were a repair centre, as well as a reseller.

I had bad experiences with Typtec in the past. haven't used them for a long time now. Where is TheMacShop ??

Thankfully only needed this type of help once. Used Typetec about 8 years ago. Fast and friendly, and called me to collect within 6 hours of dropping off the computer. It was 8 years ago though.

    Thanks all! ;)

I'm gonna give ISS a try just because they're the closest to me. I'll let you know how I get on!

Merrion Square, the... north side, methinks (at least, standing with your back to the gardens Government Buildings is now to your right)
