Wash regualrly and rub aloe vera gel on it daily, either that or tea tree gel, should clear it up after continous usage.

The way you say it, it sounds like an infection (go to doctor).

However if it is just ance, I understand greasy hair contributes to ance on the shoulders.

Visit doctor and enquire about prescription antibiotics you apply to the skin. Some of them are very powerful and using it twice a day will rid the affected area of spots competely.

you could also see a dermetoligest (sp?) clinic...the one i know of is in Blackrock (no perscription or referall required)...they supply extremely effective creams and wash's. Failing that, they also preform a laser tretment, completely painless, and exposes the skin to a type of light that kills of cells needed to porduce acne, leaves no marks or anything. The clinic is above the pharmacy in Blackrock village. Not that expensive either.

honestly save your money, clear light aint that good.Go to a dermotologist instead. They promise the world in that blackrock place but u dont get it in the end.I learned the hard way, spending about 500 euro on creams and and 8 treatments. Not worth it. To be honest im not sure what really is the answer cause im 26 now and still have acne on my face even though i have gone to countless doctors, dermotologists, places like the blackrock place and spent thousands. Go to a dermotologist and hopefully find a caring one instead of someone that will just take your money and say what you want to hear. This is just my experience thats all.

I got a cream called Zyneryt (or something along those lines). Did the job after three subscriptions (though I still have a few spots, nothing serious though). But I dunno, maybe my case was different to yours. As people here have said, go see a professional about this stuff. As far as I'm aware, none of us are doctors so us prescribing you something is a bad idea.

Oxytetracycline. I had the same problem myself from 17 to about 20, go to your gp to get em to prescribe it.

If you use conditioner tilt your head when rinsing, its known to clog pores and this can lead to acne, the other thing to do is wash with neutrogena body clear body wash or any other body wash with salicylic acid in it, also use one of those sponges that really sud up, dont know what you call them exactly, apply the body wash with this. I would advise this before going to a derm, try it for about a month youll know then... Derm are costly and have long waiting lists... If my way works it the cheapest, simplest and least damaging approach. The other thing is change your bed clothes and towels frequently, and try and wear clothing that breathes, try and shower after any heavy excercise. These points would probably help but wouldnt be a 100% necessary, but i would recommend what i said above.

Used to have a similar problem.
I found that cutting excess refined sugar from my diet helped matters.
Would also advise drinking lots of fresh water- its great getting rid of toxins from your body.
Certainly there are loads of creams etc on the market- and they work for some people- I personally found tackling the problem at a more fundamental level helped me though.

Dermatologists will tell you that persistent acne isn't down to diet. If you are worried about it go to your GP first. They may put you on antibiotics or a topical cream. If those treatments don't work, you can be referred to a dermatologist who can prescribe something more powerful.

I've been trying dead sea salt. its mixed with some essential oils (dunno what). its very gritty to start off with but the salt dissolves as you wash. only used it a few times but it works for me!

Remember that acne (if it is acne) does eventually go away, it might take until you are 30 but it does go away.

The medicines/creams just keep it at bay until it goes away, but they serve a key purpose, to stop scarring, because if you just leave it and wait then you will have scars.

So write off EUR 500 and see a dermatologist and take everything he has (except roaccutane) until the acne passes.

Yeh Panoxel Acnegel is what I used and it cleared it up pretty well (there's a Panoxel 5 and a Panoxel 10).

I went to the doctor about it too and he prescribed Minisconin or something like that (I can't remember what it was called or how to spell it) which is an antibiotic which is supposed to clear up your acne within 6 or 7 weeks
