Komplett tv card Issue

    Hi guys,

    i bought the XFX NVTV Mpeg2 Tv-Tuner for €107 (being a student and all twas very expensive) believing it would work with windows media centre, unfortunately not, it wont pick up in media centre at all, it will work with the additrional software supplied by nvidia but not in the media centre, how can i get this to work in media centre, are there specific drivers available???

    Also the tv tuner card is only picking up 2 stations rte and network 2, im very dissapointed after spending so much money especially since a mate bought a twice as good card for half the price else where, any suggestions?

    Only certain cards work with media centre pcs. Remember finding a list of them on the web.
    I suggest you sell this card and get the one your mate did.
    Incidentally, the Winfast WinXP Expert is the best card you can get without its own decoder hardware, and is about half the price. I don't think it works on media centres either though.

    good news i found the latest drivers for the card on the nvidia site going through the microsoft portal, they will enable it to work in media centre, still no look with the channels.

    Neon, any luck with you TV channels?

    Did your ordinary tv pick up all the channels or is the cable split at any stage. I have a Pinnacle PCTV card right now and it picks up about 12-14 channels. And i'm thinking of upgrading to the XFX NVTV from komplett (120euro).

    Could you post a few links up of the information you discovered while trawling the internet plz?
