Gaffney to leave Munster

It is reported on RTE that Alan Gaffney will leave Munster at the end of the current campaign. I thought he has done ok with the team but it probably is time to move on and get some new ideas into the team. I'm not sure if it was down to Ali G or the Munster Branch but I felt that recently it's all become too short termist…

I thought he has done ok with the team but it probably is time to move on and get some new ideas into the team. I'm not sure if it was down to Ali G or the Munster Branch but I felt that recently it's all become too short termist aiming at the HC instead of bringing on new players. Hopefully a new coach with a 3 or 4 year contract will feel able to try out some new blood.

He's off to Australia as assistant coach to the National team.
