Amazon.com Communication Preferences

    This isn't a rant, I just thought this was amusing. :D

    Opened my yahoo mail this evening, six new messages. I'm pretty strict about keeping my mail spam-free, and not one of these mails was personal, so I decided it was time to unsubscribe from some of the crap I've apparently agreed to being sent. I was working down the list when I got to Amazon, so I figured I'd unsubscribe from anything not directly related to ordering.

    So I click on the link to communications preferences, untick all the boxes, then get to the end and realise I can tick a box that says, basically, "do NOT send me any email not directly related to my bids or orders" so I click it, and the screen refreshs, and it says: Thank you [me]! Your updated Amazon preferences are shown below...









    ...An email is already on its way confirming your changes.
